Ms. Eckart’s legal practice is centered on Governmental Liability and Civil Rights Law, representing a range of public agencies and government entities.
Having spent nearly her entire career in the public sector, she brings more than a decade of experience representing a variety of public entities. This representation includes Cuyahoga County, the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court and the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, she tried over 65 bench and jury trials in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions. Additionally, she has appellate experience before the Eighth District Court of Appeals.
Jillian has handled numerous juvenile, employment, criminal suppression, mandamus and workers’ compensation hearings. She has been involved in many Ohio Civil Rights Commission complaints and complaints filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Among her strengths is the ability to oversee and manage the strategic and administrative aspects of practicing law.
