AREAS OF PRACTICE
Ms. Imbrogno focuses her practice on civil rights and government liability defense, employment and labor defense, public sector law, and school law. She defends both government and private entities in litigation and advises those entities on best practices to reduce the risk of litigation, while building genuine, long-standing relationships with clients in the process. She has obtained judgment on the pleadings and summary judgment on a variety of Section 1983, tort, and employment discrimination and retaliation matters, and has successfully negotiated cost-saving or equitable settlements.
Ami works closely with clients and governmental entities, anticipating their needs and proactively assisting them with compliance with the federal and Ohio constitutions and applicable labor and employment laws, drafting ordinances, suggesting changes to charters, laws, and policies, and pursuing or defending litigation when necessary.
Additionally, Ami has represented several local health departments in litigation and in interpretation of the Ohio and federal constitutions as they relate to COVID-19 administrative orders.
