Jim is a partner at Mazanec, Raskin & Ryder Co., L.P.A. and has practiced with the firm for over ten years. The principal focus of his practice in Cleveland has been the defense of government entities such as counties, municipalities, townships, and others.

Jim also has experience in civil litigation, appellate work, and personal injury. Following law school, he was a sole practitioner and dealt with construction-related matters, contractual disputes, business transactions, and municipal law.

Prior to his practice at the firm, Jim was Assistant Law Director in the Civil Division of the City of Parma, Ohio. His responsibilities included advising numerous city officials, acting as principal legal advisor to the city’s Safety Director, and drafting formal opinions, legislation, and contracts for the city.

In addition to all of this, Jim has received various awards including Who’s who in American Law and Outstanding Young Man in America.
