Carl has been an attorney with Mazanec, Raskin & Ryder Co., L.P.A. since 2001, establishing his practice in the Cleveland office. Before his work at MR&R, Carl practiced with Goldfarb & Reznick and independently in Cleveland, and he held three judicial clerkships. He worked for the Honorable Lesley Wells of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the Honorable David D. Dowd, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the judges in the Canton office of the Ohio Fifth District Court of Appeals.

In his areas of emphasis, Carl has gained a broad perspective of employment law through the representation of employers, and occasionally employees, in actions involving ADA, ADEA, Title VII, OSHA, wrongful discharge, and intentional tort by employer. He also represents political subdivisions and their employees in civil rights cases and other litigation against them, and he practice in the employment field. He has litigated cases involving matters such as contracts, commercial transactions, deceptive trade practices, product liability, ERISA, and land use, at all levels of state and federal courts. Carl has also represented management in Labor Board proceedings, collective bargaining negotiations, and arbitrations, and has counseled local, regional, and international clients on a wide variety of labor issues.
